Flourishing Forsyth: Social and Solidarity Economy

Per Cambridge Dictionary, Mutual Aid refers to "a system in which different groups of people come together to work with and help each other," and often focuses on multidirectional assistance. The goal is for everybody to help each other.

Per Wikipedia, the Social and Solidarity Economy "refers to a wide range of economic activities that aim to prioritize social profitability instead of purely financial profits." It is a form of resource disbursement that focuses on more than just financial well-being, and often seeks to improve the lives of a community through group interrelations regardless of their position in capitalist culture.

You can donate just about anything! standard donations typically consist of items, money, or expertise. Unfortunately, we do not have any storage space right now, so items will have to remain direct donations to requests, but everything else can be provided to an individual requester or to the group to be redistributed.

Anybody, but we do ask that you keep the size of our organization in mind when making requests. Currently, we are fairly small with little reach, so we have chosen to cap financial requests at $100 and ask that volunteer requests be doable by a group of 5.
